My recent two-night stay at Hotel Maroussi was a delightful experience, enriched by the warm hospitality of the staff who made us feel truly welcome. The hotel is ideally located just a short stroll from the Nerantziotissa train station, making it convenient for our adventures in Athens, including a lovely day at the nearby Olympic Stadium for the concert we attended. The room itself was elegantly decorated, featuring vibrant colors and a comfortable layout, though I must admit that with an extra bed added after our arrival, it felt a tad cramped. Nonetheless, the complimentary drinks provided upon our check-in were a thoughtful gesture that added a special touch. Breakfast was a charming affair served in a lovely little garden, where we enjoyed a beautifully arranged basket of goodies amidst the morning tranquility. While the hotel's bustling location in Marousi may not exude the rich historical aura found in Parisian settings that I often seek, it provides a comfortable base to explore Athens' treasures.
